The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it can be alarmed about the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to SRD a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The company place made for intervention encounters a high inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to help the servicing of all buyers and boost usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
